Innovation like the kind my professional learning plan aims to bring about requires large-scale institutional change, and I spent some time exploring principles of leading that change. I wrote an article that applies Covey, McChesney, and Huling’s 4 Disciplines of Execution to the absurd task of eating an elephant; I include it here partly because I feel it explains the concept clearly, if ridiculously, and partly because it was just enormously fun to write.
